Hinged Covers & Grates for Airports from EJ Airport Covers & Grates - SOLO Hinged Series For many decades, access covers on airports were super heavy and hard to open. And, most of the time, the design was limited to square and rectangular concrete infill covers. Once the covers were wedged into their frames - and after many extra heavy loads - they were difficult to open. This often required extra time, the use of machinery, and also extra cost. Additionally, once the covers were dragged out of the frame, they had to be cleaned, re-greased, and dragged back into the closed position. Those days are behind you now. EJ has designed and manufactured the SOLO range of airport rated covers and frames. The SOLO cover will take the extra heavy loadings but can easily be hinged open to the working position.
