After 18 months of field testing and a prestigious 2011 NeoCon Flooring Innovation Award, here at Karndean we're proud and excited to announce our latest innovation, Karndean Looselay. Looselay is glue-less, non-click vinyl plank range. Taking our inspiration from the widely held appeal of free-lay modular carpet, but without the restraints of a laminated timber floating floor, overlapping strip or click mechanism, Looselay can be installed in both glue-free or in circumstances where heavy traffic is encountered - using only a grid of pressure sensitive adhesive.

We've used the latest cutting edge technology which has made the development of Looselay possible. You'll find that the thicker and stiffer dimensionally stable centre layer and overall thickness of 4.5mm combined with a unique plasticized waffle friction backing prevents underfoot movement by hugging the subfloor with a strong suction-like grip. With a foundation that also provides outstanding acoustic results that complies with ISO 140-6, we've got a product that requires no absorbent subfloor (providing the condition is flat, level, dry and sound) and specifications that is suitable for any of your high-rise residential tower projects.

We've launched Looselay in six of the most popular Karndean Van Gogh designs. While retaining the 0.5mm commercial wear layer and Karndean's standard LVT commercial heavy duty 10-year wear guarantee, you can also create a real impact with the generous plank sizes of 1050mm x 250mm. You'll also find that Looselay complies with all fire and slip performance requirements for use in up to patient care areas of Class 9A buildings and on ramped inclines (R10 under AS/NZS 4586).
