Allplastics' PEP-Core panels featured in
Melbourne Girls' Grammar School's Wildfell precinct

Transforming the heart of Melbourne Girls' Grammar School's Merton Hall campus, Wildfell is an innovative reimagining of the conventional educational building. Located in South Yarra and the result of collaboration between Melbourne based Sally Draper Architects and Taylor Cullity Lethlean (TCL) landscaping, the project is an inspiring learning environment amidst a dense inner city site.

Situated beneath the school's playing fields, the northfacing Wildfell precinct mediates between indoor and outdoor learning areas. Internally, large areas have been developed as multifunctional spaces to accommodate staff and student interactions.

An open plan kitchen leads to a central double height gathering space to foster a sense of community, while specialist 'digilab' facilities punctuate internal space. Externally, Allplastics' PEP-Core panels lend the building a distinctive character that suggests the bold educational environment contained within it. By sandwiching a triangular honeycomb polycarbonate between clear gloss or satin finish panels, the PEP-Core is both a stylish cladding material and effective UV barrier.

The translucent, highly versatile panels are ideal for outdoor application, offering superior strength, rigidity, and some light diffusion properties.

Available in an extensive range of colours and with a sleek, low maintenance finish, the PEP panels can withstand wear and weathering with virtually no deflection. The cost-effective and fully customisable panels can also be used for balustrade, staircase, and other interior and exterior applications.
