Brass Edged Infill Access Covers from EJ![]()
A New Brass Section (or 30) at Our Opera House When you visit Sydney, it's almost impossible to take your eyes off that magnificent blue harbour. And then, those extraordinary man-made wonders of the world - Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge - snatch your attention, as they repose completely at home amongst the fluttering sails and dashing ferries. EJ is also perfectly at home in this wonder-world. In recent months, a major overhaul of infrastructure surrounding the Opera House has been undertaken and EJ product now occupies its place amongst the shadows of this wondrous icon. In pride of place in the Opera House forecourt, are a number of Decorative Edged Covers in brass. The redevelopment has been conducted over three stages and up to 30 900mm x 900mm Class D covers and frames were supplied with 6mm brass edging at 60mm height. Of course, this edging is available in various heights from 12mm up to 60mm to suit the infill paving and a choice of stainless steel or brass and can be matched with decorative keyholes in brass or stainless steel. The use of brass edged covers was not only a practical consideration in this instance, but also an aesthetic one, as they so comfortably match with the stone infill paving to become almost invisible, unless you're specifically looking for them. But Sydney Harbour and its icons are not the only great Australian sites where EJ decorative edged covers reside. A peak around Brisbane's Southbank Parklands, Sydney International Airport, Gold Coast Light Rail corridors and even Sydney City Streets will find both brass edged and stainless steel covers with a wide variety of infill materials. To join the band of happy EJ clients, call your local EJ office for a catalogue.
