Mechanical Expansion Joints- Internal & External

Flexo CHT Cover plates are a heavy duty cover plate system designed for heavy pedestrian and infrequent service equipment traffic. The previous expansion joint systems had failed and were leaking. After removing the existing systems Unison designed and modified our Flexo CHT. With our factory in Brisbane we were able to manufacture a system to fit the exact application for Federation Square in Melbourne VIC.

You can see the finished product in the image provided. The cover plates were bead blasted to P5 rating for slip resistance.

Unison Joints supplied:

• 167 metres Heavy Duty mechanical floor Expansion Joint systems
• 163 metres water tight Expansion Joint seal
• 102 metres of DzFT recycled rubber crumb flex tread topper applied to the Aquo-P to alleviate trip hazards.
