In 2024, St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne, a heritage-listed institution dating back to 1893, completed a major expansion with a new 12-level tower. This modern addition, valued at $180 million and designed by Billard Leece Partnership, adds two basement levels and a link bridge connecting to the hospital's existing structure. Kane Constructions managed the build, ensuring the new facility blends seamlessly with the hospital's rich history while meeting contemporary healthcare needs.

Unison Joints was entrusted with designing, manufacturing, and supplying all seismic expansion joint systems for this project, delivering over 1003 linear meters of seismic joints. Key products, including Si R, Si DX, Vt P, Vt S, Aquo H, Py B, and Acc C, were integrated to address the hospital's requirements for durability and safety. Unison also provided anodised wall, roof, and facade cover plates, along with fire blankets for large movement gaps and waterproof seals for long-lasting protection.
