The impeller and the pump body are constructed from either high-chrome cast iron or cast iron to resist damage from wastewater and grit. The impeller has a vortex design that can push away solids without having to touch them, which prevents clogs and also lowers wear. Meanwhile, the outer motor shell is constructed from rust-proof cast iron or stainless steel. Thanks to a double mechanical seal, the motor can work even when submerged or fully underwater.
