GROWING WITH LNG IN PNG

During 2012, EJ has grown its presence in Papua New Guinea (PNG), winning a number of major projects based around the growing Exxon-Mobil LNG project.

From it's Brisbane assembly plant, EJ has supplied three Class G (900kN airport load rated) multipart covers for the new aviation refueling area of the Jackson Airport in Port Moresby.

"These multiparts are part of an airport upgrade to accept the giant Antonov AN-225, the largest operating aircraft in the world today," said EJ Sales Manager, Ian Maddocks.

"The engineering firm had been referred to us because of our proven ability to build multiparts to Class G loadings and our on time performance".

Other recent orders include:

  • 110 number Class D 600mm diameter covers for the LNG plant; as specified.
  • Stainless steel trench grates and floor drains to the many new apartment complexes under construction around Port Moresby.
EJ has been growing its relationship with PNG's government authorities and engineering firms with the help of Austrade.

Austrade's PNG Trade Commissioner, Mr Kevan Dacey, has worked with the Australian EJ team over the last 10 years to introduce the products to developing regions such as Fiji, New Caledonia, Samoa and even South Africa.
