Tontine Sound Batts
D A T A S H E E T

Tontine Sound Batts are made of polyester, which inherently does not absorb moisture and will not
break down. It remains in a safe, clean, hygienic state, thereby not contributing to sick building syndrome.
Tontine Sound Batts are ideal for use in walls and partitions, where they provide excellent acoustic and thermal
performance. Refer to the Acoustic Design Manual to determine which Tontine Sound Batt
will provide the best result to meet your requirements.

* STC tests carried out by Challis and Associates Pty Ltd (TSB 2-5), using 13mm plasterboard
each side of a 64mm stud frame with 600mm centres. Results in other wall structures available on request.
The insulation material shall be polyester TSB (2,3,4 or 5)..mm thick as manufactured by Tontine Fibres. The batt
shall be fitted in one piece per stud opening to fill the entire area.
All testing was conducted in a laboratory situation. On site results may vary due to site conditions and quality
of installation. As these products are constantly being researched and developed, we reserve the right to update
these specifications without notice.
