Neoferma was contacted by CIW Remedial to specify polyurethane resins suitable for refurbishment works on the heritage-listed Ballina Fire Station. After being active for over 80 years Ballina Council has converted the premises into a Community Arts Centre but it was experiencing water ingress that urgently needed attention. CIW Remedial were to stop the groundwater ingress into the historic engine pit preventing any further damage. The job was successfully completed with Hydrophilic Polyurethane Resins as specified by Neoferma.

Neoferma has just introduced a new range of Polyurethane Acrylics and Resins - PUR-X and ACRYL-X. The PUR-X range has a multitude of benefits including variable reaction times, rigid and flexible foams and gels, permanent solutions as well as being eco-friendly.

One product in particular from Neoferma is PUR-X 300 which is an MDI based hydrophilic, one-component flexible polyurethane injection resin for waterproofing joints and cracks. In contact with the water, the resin reacts and expands forming a permanent seal inside the leaking crack or construction joint.

The PUR-X range includes:

PUR-X 100 - Rigid Hydrophobic Injection Resin

PUR-X 100 is a 1-component, hydrophobic, water reactive, solvent and phthalate free, low viscosity polyurethane injection resin. In contact with water, the PUR-X 100 will expand and react into a rigid closed cell foam. After full cure, the product will set as a permanent seal inside a crack joint, guaranteeing a long-lasting waterproofing solution.

PUR-X 200 - Flexible Hydrophobic Injection Resin

PUR-X 200 performs the same as PUR-X 100 however will remain flexible in contact with water.

PUR-X 300 - Flexible Hydrophilic Injection Resin

PUR-X 300 is an MDI based hydrophilic, one component flexible polyurethane injection resin for waterproofing joints and cracks. In contact with water, the resin reacts and expands forming a permanent seal inside the leaking crack or construction joint.

ACRYL-X 1000

ACRYL-X 1000 is a non-toxic aqueous solution of multifunctional acrylic monomers. The resin gels in a few seconds to a few minutes when an activator/initiator is added just before use. The final product is a soft and tacky cross-linked gel. In wet, or dry conditions, the volume of the gel increases, or decreases, in a reversible and waterproofing manner.

ACRYL-X 2000

ACRYL-X 2000 is a non-toxic aqueous solution of multifunctional acrylic monomers. The reaction time can be modified to meet conditions from a few seconds to a few minutes when an activator/initiator is added prior to use. The final product is a soft and tacky cross-linked gel. In wet, or dry conditions, the volume of the gel increases, or decreases, in a reversible and waterproofing manner.

ACRYL-X 3000

ACRYL-X 3000 is a non-toxic aqueous solution of multifunctional acrylic monomers. The resin gels in a few seconds to a few minutes when an activator/initiator is added just before use. The final product is a soft and tacky cross-linked gel. In wet, or dry conditions, the volume of the gel increases, or decreases, in a reversible and waterproofing manner.
