Commandomatic Water Softeners by Waterco

Hardness in water if left untreated create problems, such as scale on hot water elements and prevent proper lathering of soap and detergent. A Commandomatic Softener provides soft water by removing the calcium and magnesium minerals from your water.

Commandomatic Water Softeners consist of;

  • Pressure vessel containing a bed of Cation exchange resin, which does the softening.
  • Brine tank to store and provides the salt, to make up the salt brine solution needed for regeneration.
  • A 10 valve, which directs the flow of water through the cycle of regeneration and service.

Normal softening flow is down through the resin bed and to the house. During regeneration a brine solution is transferred from the brine tank to the resin cylinder via an injection system, which regenerates the softener.

Once connected, water is directed through a filter bed, which traps particles down to 10 microns (0.01mm). Whether it is bore, river or rain water, the end result is crystal clear water for the entire house.

No cleaning or replacement of filter cartridges. The Micron's filter media is able to last up to 10 years, and it is easily cleansed filter via a Multiport Valve (MPV). The MPV reverses the flow of water, expanding and flushing the filter of its trapped contents.

Each filter vessel is constructed by Waterco's computerised digitally controlled filament winding machine. The materials of construction are corrosion resistant, non-toxic and ultra violet light resistant.
