The next phase of the Kardinia Park re-development in Geelong has provided both the sports loving city and its local community with a Stadium that is not only World Class but features many new design elements to further enhance the sports and entertainment facility.

The new Simonds Stadium designed by POPULOS enables the sporting organisation and the local community to co-exist in the Stadium arena with a clever design philosophy. Stadium design provides facilities for the viewing and hospitality areas along with vital administration and shared community working areas to enable maximum use of the facility throughout the year.

Within the working areas of the stadium both the community and the Geelong Cats AFL Club are able to effectively work in the areas designated that provide space for Meeting rooms, two large Auditorium areas and a magnificent Sports Museum.

The considered design approach has resulted in the specification of the Wicanders pre-finished Cork Flooring that incorporates its patented Corktech design technology along with a commercially surface coating known as High Performance Surface (HPS).
