Spiral Staircase System for The Butler's Residence by Bent & Curved Glass

For many years, Bent & Curved Glass has collaborated with Enzie Stairs in developing glass concepts for their original and groundbreaking spiral staircase systems. This partnership resulted in one of BCG's projects- a fully frameless toughened structural laminated glass balustrade used in a stair centrepiece at The Butler's Residence.

Designed by Carlos Correa of Archistudio Design, the spiral staircase brought a wow factor to the project. The stair itself is an elegantly detailed feat in architectural interior and shows the culmination of the growing role of using glass in boosting the design of the Enzies bespoke stair range.

The staircase project at The Butler's Residence features the use of low iron glass. And to add to the sense of openness, space and light, the design included concealed l.e.d. edge lighting to take the glass presentation to the next level. The tight radius spiral format of the staircase exhibits BCG's superb technical skills in the precision bending and laminating of glass.
