Axolotl Group's "3 o'clock... 9 o'clock" chrome chairEdward Wong described his chair to Axolotl as "The 3 o'clock... 9 o'clock chair." It features a single collapsible flap like the hands of a clock to perform two roles - a seat and a leg rest. The chair in its "3 o'clock" stage becomes an easy chair. At "9 o'clock" the chair transforms into a chaise. The chrome frame exhibits the mechanised heritage of the piece. While on the other hand, the woven cord portrays a personal and ethereal aspect to the design. The winner of the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award will be announced in October.
