Southwell Lifts and Hoists new freestanding car hoist

Southwell Lifts and Hoists recently installed a freestanding car hoist at the Porsche Centre in Alexandria, Sydney. This is an ideal solution for an existing two level site where construction of a hoist shaft and pit is not possible or viable.

The split enclosure allowed the unit to be transported through the existing roller shutter at the rear of the building and assembled on site. The enclosure, sheeted in polycarbonate, did not interfere with the architectural integrity of the showroom and allowed light to filter throughout.

Aluminium ramps were provided to negate the need for a pit.
