Southwell Lifts & Hoists

We are an Australian engineering and manufacturing business established in 1945. We custom design, fabricate and install Lifts and Hoists as well as being well-known in the Australian aviation industry for Ground Support Equipment.

Since our early days mining and transporting sand for the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, we have evolved into a specialised lifting equipment manufacturer. After the Second World War, Southwell began making large truck cranes, then progressed into elevated work platforms and more recently our focus has been on designing and manufacturing goods lifts and hoists, and we never stopped innovating.

We have done thousands of projects over the years, and we are the leading supplier of goods lifts for the self-storage industry, as well as car lifts for the residential and commercial market and high-capacity goods lifts to retailers, hospitals as well as other types of industry.
