Braille Signage for new buildings, Architectural Signs Sydney

Make your facility accessible to everyone with
braille and tactile directional signs and graphics

Legislation requires Braille signage under certain circumstances. New buildings and newly renovated buildings must have Braille signs installed at various points around the building such as at the entrances to the building, the toilets and the under ground car park. Braille has been in lifts for some time now. It must be installed in accordance with legislation and Australian Standards (for example, the sign must be at a reachable level on the wall).

Hillmont Signs incorporating AusBraille "Raising Awareness"

In 2008 Architectural Signs purchased the provider of the best quality Braille signage on Australia - Hillmont Engraved Signs. Consequently all our Braille is now manufactured by this subsidiary. We are pleased to be able to provide the best quality Braille signage available on the market. The process not only involves engraving but drilling and placing epoxy dots in the holes to produce the most tactile Braille signage available. These signs are manufactured to exceed Australian and New Zealand standards and are a lot more durable than standard engraved signage. Made from 1.6mm Rowmark ULTRA-MATTE reverse engravable multi-layered impact acrylic which is UV Stable. Key Benefits: Standard items readily available including standard pricelist, high quality, durability and flexibility. Samples can also be obtained for review.

Architectural Signs provide signs for sighted and vision impaired users alike. Interpretive signage with raised lettering and graphics provide all the relevant information as required by the Building Code of Australia (D3.6) and fulfill the requirements of the Australian Standards (1428.1-2001). All the elements you need can be supplied to give you perfect level of accessibility and compliance for interior and exterior signs (growth in ageing population with increased vision issues).

We also offer a range of other signage solutions for your business including outdoor signage, reception signage, interior signage, and vehicle signage catering to the needs of your office.
