There's so much you can do with concrete. It's more than just a substrate or a base for construction projects. Just check out what Reckli can do with this material, they have even made an elephant-shaped concrete.

For a daycare centre, Reckli utilised elastic liners to form an elephant shape to cover up an emergency staircase. Aside from having an amazing shape, the structure also features a Reckli texture, the Yukon. This was chosen to resemble the texture of a real elephant's skin.

To create this masterpiece, the concrete slab was poured. It measures 9.5m x 5.5m and is 25cm thick. Elastic liners were then used to create the shape of the animal and then a formwork frame was applied. The result is nothing short of amazing.
