If you use Vacuum Infusion or Resin Transfer Moulding, it's important to have a specially reinforced flow mat. Colan offers a stitched infusion mat for closed mould systems in plain weave, twill weave, and unidirectional weave. Widths are from 100mm to 1270mm, while weights are from 584 g/m2 to 1455 g/m2.

The Flow Mat (Infusion) comes with three layers; the outer layers are E-glass fibre, chopped and then stitched with a porous elastic layer in the middle. Take note that this stitching is non-structural. Meanwhile, the core material is constructed from polypropylene, which increases resin flow properties.

Thanks to the binderless construction of the Flow Mat, it can provide excellent drapability. This type of fabric can be utilised for complicated mould shapes and has a quicker lay-up time, which helps in reducing labour.
