Protective Oil Coating for Timber Surfaces: Evolution Object Oil by Whittle Waxes![]() Before and After: Application of Object Oil. Evolution Object Oil- The Perfect Replenishment OilOver time, every wooden surface will inevitably require some form of restoration or rejuvenation. The wood may have lost its lustre over the years (as evident in the heritage parquet flooring shown below) while accumulating scuffs, scratches, and perhaps a few stains. Whittle Waxes' Evolution Object Oil has been purposefully designed to replenish and revive any surface that has taken a bit of a hammering over the years. Evolution Object Oil serves as an excellent protective coating, providing a much-needed refreshment for timber surfaces in need of repair and replenishment. It can be used to remove stains and minor scratches by buffing on a thin coat and also as a maintenance coat on surfaces already coated with hardwax oil. This makes it an ideal choice for refreshing or repairing surfaces such as kitchen and bathroom benchtops.
Evolution Object Oil can be easily buffed on using a lint-free cloth; it is quick drying (can be applied at night and will be dry by morning); and has no aggressive odours. Maintenance jobs typically require just a single coat, but when used as a coating on raw timber, two coats should be applied. For surfaces already treated with a matte hardwax oil, Evolution Matte Object Oil is recommended. For other sheen levels such as Classic, Satin and Gloss, regular Evolution Object Oil should be used.
