SITE DETAILS The My Thuan Bridge is located in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam and was completed in May 2000. It was built with Australian assistance; the My Thuan Bridge represents an architectural expression of the friendship and co-operation between the peoples and governments of Vietnam and Australia. Located on Highway No 1, some 120 kilometers southwest of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), the bridge is the first cable stayed structure and largest crossing in Vietnam. It has a total length of 1,535 meters and provides four traffic lanes and two footways, some 40 meters above the Tien Giang River. The bridge was constructed in a record time of 32 months, some 8 months ahead of schedule. The application of Radcon can be very fast; a motorized sprayer can cover up to 800 square metres per hour.
