Controlling University Car Parking with Magnetic Automation

Hundreds of people both staff and students enter and exit university car parks each day so a solution was needed to manage the traffic for a large university with multiple car parks. Magnetic installed an MHTM boom gate to secure a small car park for university students who work at the bar on campus.

The boom gate is in place as an exit barrier which works via an induction loop sensor. On the other side of the carpark there is an entry barrier that is operational via a card reader bollard and an intercom system to determine who can have access into the car park.
