Waterproof Balcony System for Dog Runs by Pasco.

A dedicated dog run on a balcony requires more than a durable walking surface. The waterproofing system must withstand weather exposure, foot and paw traffic, and repeated contact with pet urine without compromising adhesion or finish. For this project, Baron Forge specified a three-part Pasco system designed to address those demands.

Pasco Aquaprime PU Primer sealed the concrete substrate and created a receptive surface for the polyurethane membrane. Aquaproof 110 then formed a seamless, moisture-curing waterproof layer, tested to AS4654.1 and AS4858, with more than 750 per cent elongation and crack-bridging capability. Megapoxy MC completed the build-up as a 100 per cent solids, VOC-free epoxy topcoat, providing abrasion, impact and chemical resistance for a durable, easy-clean surface.

Before sign-off, the system underwent adhesion and chemical-resistance testing, including exposure to dog urine. The project demonstrates how considered product selection and professional application can extend waterproofing performance into demanding pet-friendly outdoor areas.
