Foamular

Foamular's energy and environmental efficiencies were highlighted at a prestigious building industry association show in Queensland

Foamular was the insulator of choice used by the creators of a Sustainable Smart House, built for the HIA Home and Building Expo in Brisbane in May. The house was the main attraction at the expo's GreenSmart Building Zone. It displayed a variety of sustainable building products in order to demonstrate how GreenSmart principles can make homes more comfortable to live in, while maintaining affordability.

Foamular's superior insulating qualities, high density and high R value made it the ideal energy-efficient substrate for the builders of the Smart House to use.

Foamular has a long and solid history with prominent building companies. HIA award-winning builder Halley Homes - the company that built the Smart House - regularly uses Foamular as an insulator in its homes.

Although the expo is over, the Sustainable Smart House has an important ongoing role.

To further demonstrate GreenSmart principles, Caboolture Area Schools Industry Links Scheme, Queensland, will use the Smart House as an administration centre and office for its skills development centre.

The centre has a long-term commitment to training and awareness raising in relation to environmental trends in housing construction and will provide continuing information and advice about sustainable housing.
