STG Gates and MPT Turnstiles from Magnetic Automation

Two STG heavy-duty cantilever gates and an MPT pedestrian turnstile were recently installed by Magnetic Automation for an oil and gas plant. The plant was undergoing an expansion and required extra security measures for both vehicles entering and exiting sites and employees.

The products installed had to meet high standards for safety and security measures. The STG gate is designed in a way that it does not require ground tracks of overhead rails and Individually locked outer housing and internal electrical enclosure is provided for optimum security. The gate was accompanied by a traffic light system to notify vehicles whether or not it is safe to proceed.

Magnetic had to work with the site operators to meet vigorous documentation requirements as well as a design engineer to meet stringent product requirements for the site. This was advantageous because as the specifications were developed, Magnetic could manufacture the gate accordingly.
