Balinese-Inspired Aluminium Timber-Look Cladding from DECO

Aluminium timber-look cladding, DecoClad, has added the final touch to a new Balinese-inspired house on the New South Wales south coast.

To create the desired tropical paradise appearance, the builder Build Platinum selected DecoClad 'V-Groove' 180mm cladding in DecoWood 'Western Red Cedar' for the external and alfresco ceilings. Not only did the cladding's DecoWood timber finish provide the traditional Balinese look and feel the clients were after, but it also met their low maintenance requirements.

"We used the DecoClad V-Groove Western Red Cedar boards and you have to tap the product before realising it's not real timber. Absolutely amazing product!" said Ryan Bray, Build Platinum Pty Ltd.

The beachfront property also meant the product needed to be durable due to the high exposure environment. The Super Durable™ DecoWood finish offered the marine grade and UV resistant coating the job required to offer a long-lasting, beautiful result.

As a non-combustible solid aluminium cladding meeting AS1530.1 and AS1530.3 requirements, the owners were also confident they were a fire-safe alternative in the natural bush environment in which the building is situated.
