Building envelopes need to manage more than water. FIREFLY VapourSafe Non-Combustible Sarking provides a pliable barrier for walls and roofs, combining passive fire protection, weather resistance and vapour permeability across Type A and B fire-resistant construction.

Manufactured from a Fortaglas woven glass fabric with a hydrophobic surface, VapourSafe blocks liquid water while allowing vapour to diffuse through the wall structure. The membrane is non-combustible and does not melt, with Class 4 vapour permeability, high tensile and tear strength, and an Extra Heavy Duty classification for improved resistance to punctures and wind loads. It also supports ember protection across all BAL zones.

Available in 1,250 mm x 50 m rolls, the 0.2 mm membrane covers 62.5 square metres and weighs 14.5 kg per roll. FIREFLY VapourSafe meets the Deemed-to-Satisfy provisions of NCC Volume One 2022 and is supplied with a 25-year warranty, providing a considered specification for projects requiring a durable, breathable and fire-conscious building membrane.
