Air Sealing Grommets for Data Centre Cooling Efficiency from Tate
Round Air Sealing Grommet

Tate are proud to supply a variety of air-sealing grommets designed to improve data centre cooling efficiency. These air-sealing grommets effectively prevent bypass air leakage from raised floor plenums when access is required by power or data cables from above the floor. Furthermore, standard cut-out locations for placement of these grommets have been identified by Tate to avoid the complexity of field cutting.

The variety of air-sealing grommets from Tate include:

  • Standard Integral - A heavy-duty grommet with removable lid designed to be installed during construction to seal cable openings in raised-floor systems before the installation of communication or power cabling.
  • Mini - The smallest among them, this grommet is engineered to seal small cable openings in the raised floor of existing or new computer rooms. Its 5 x 2.5” opening offers flexibility for data centres that have multiple cable sizes. It offers a cost-effective method of segregating power cabling from data cabling.
  • Surface Mount - Offers an easy way to seal current cable cut-outs with no need to disconnect cables.
  • Round - Consists of a split feature that makes way for product installation or removal without disturbing cables and is available in a 4” or 6” cut-out seal.
  • Extended - For use in sealing a variety of existing larger openings and may be modified to accommodate unique openings.
