Waterco's MultiCyclone water filter awarded Smart Approved WaterMark![]() Smart Approved WaterMark is Australia's water saving labelling program for products and services which are helping to reduce outdoor water use. Smart Approved WaterMark scheme has been developed to address outdoor water conservation. It is a voluntary and not-for-profit program that allows consumers to make an informed choice towards saving water via the distinctive Smart Approved WaterMark logo. To obtain the Smart Approved WaterMark label, an independent Expert Panel must assess and approve all products, services and organisations. The Smart Approved WaterMark scheme is managed by a Steering Committee comprising of Australia's peak bodies of the urban water industry and leading authorities on outdoor water use which includes the Water Services Association of Australia (WSSA), the Irrigation Association of Australia (IAA), the Nursery and Garden Industry Australia (NGIA) and the Australian Water Association (AWA). Save up to 7,000 Litres of Pool Water An average sand filter may require approximately 4,000 to 8,000 litres of water a year to maintain it. Sand filters require an occasional backwash and rinse [on average] every month to 2 months, depending on the dirt load of the pool and the size of the filter. Yearly Backwash If you backwash [on average] every month, your pool filter requires approximately 8400 litres of water a year. 700 litres x 12 months [once a month] = 8400 litres. If you backwash [on average] every 2nd month, your pool filter requires approximately 4200 litres of water a year. 700 litres x 6 [once every two months] = 4200 litres Cuts Wasteful Backwashing It drastically reduces filter backwashing and filter cartridge maintenance. Reduce Filter Cartridge Maintenance Instead of every 6 months, the filter needs to be backwashed approximately once a year. How it Works? This spins the sediment out to the hydro cyclone's wall and then spirals it down to the sediment sump, while the cleansed water spirals upwards. The accumulation of sediment can be visibly monitored through the MultiCylcone's clear sediment sump. The MultiCyclone is cleaned by simply opening its purge valve. It only takes 15 litres of water to flush MultiCyclone, saving you time and money. Easy to Install Minimal Maintenance Watch our latest MultiCyclone product video on You Tube: Click Here ![]()
