DecoWood™ & DecoDeck™ Feature in From the Ground Up

DecoWood™ and DecoDeck™ were selected as the products of choice for Channel Ten's new reality TV program From The Ground Up.

The program challenges four couples to build a house from scratch, the winners being the duo who can add the most value for when the houses go to auction.

DecoWood™ wood grain finish on aluminium was used on slat screens around the hot water systems and water tanks as well as operable outdoor shutter screens around the courtyard of one house. DecoDeck™ aluminium decking with the DecoWood™ finish was installed on all four houses in different finishes.

DecoWood™ products were chosen especially for their minimal maintenance requirements and easy installation. Another important consideration for the production team was the unique location of the competition at Murray's Beach on the New South Wales Central Coast. Murray's Beach is surrounded by bushland with Lake Macquarie on one side and the beach on the other. With this in mind, timber could not be used due to the bushfire risk level and a marine grade powder coating was required to withstand the high level of salt spray, hence the use of DecoWood™.

From the Ground Up will go to air on Sunday afternoons on Channel Ten after the Commonwealth Games.
