Our family has been active in the timber industry since the early 1800's in Europe. Our timber is a certifiable product harvested in Burgundy, France; that is custom manufactured in Australia.

History of the product:

• The parquet at the palace of Versailles is one of the most famous, but is not the earliest example of timber flooring being used in the Royal courts of Europe
• The original panels were designed by Roubo, his designs inspired timber flooring in many of the grand houses in Europe
• The original panels that were installed in Versailles were up to 35mm thick and were installed over sticks, which were laid onto the existing stone floors
• The Versailles pattern is known in two forms: 17th century version which has four panels, and a 18th century style which has 12 square panels

Product details:

• We manufacture panels in three styles; Mortice and Tenon, solid wood with stapled rear or taped face and engineered panels. The Mortice and Tenon and engineered panels are available with pegs
• The panels are available in a 17th century style which is 710mm x 710mm and the 18th century style which is approximately 960mm x 960mm, both styles of the panels are 21mm thick
• Panels are available with bevel, flush fit and a full range of distressing and aging treatments that include hand scrapping and wire brushing
• Panels can also be made from antique reclaimed Oak from France
• Engineered panels can be prefinished and shipped ready for installation. These prefinished panels can be fumed, oiled, bleached or stained to any colour prior to installation.
