The Project

Piet Boon, a renowned international designer, required help sealing the surfaces of his new HQ. The total surface space was a combination of concrete, marble and limestone. Mr. Boon wanted the surface restored to new condition and permanently sealed.

Special Requirements

Arte di Granito had to consider a number of prerequisites before deciding on a solution:

1) The marble, concrete and limestone surfaces are all acid-sensitive and therefore needed to be deep cleaned without the use of acids.
2) Sealer must not alter the original look.
3) Application must not disrupt everyday use and business activity in the area.
4) Sealed surface must be easily maintained with simple mop and bucket cleaning. 5) Sealer must be permanent.

The Dry-Treat Solution

1. Deep clean and remove the existing the stains using Oxy Klenza™

Oxy-Klenza™ is a powerful alkaline and oxygen cleaner (typically pH 9-11) which will deep pore clean and remove stains, without any harm to acid sensitive surfaces. Oxy-Klenza™ is a 100% powder concentrate and very inexpensive. It also disinfects surfaces and breaks down odours. Oxy-Klenza™ is environmentally friendly, and breaks down into oxygen and natural salts within a couple of hours.

2. Seal the surfaces with STAIN PROOF Original™, permanent, invisible, penetrating sealer

STAIN-PROOF Original™ makes the treated surface permanently oil and water repellent, so that spills remain up on the surface, where they can be easily mopped off. STAIN PROOF Original™ will cure enough in 8 - 10 hours for the surfaces to be used, so sealing can be performed after hours with no interruption of the traffic. Surfaces treated with STAIN PROOF Original™ are much easier to clean. STAIN PROOF Original™ bonds permanently with the treated material.
