The house at Weonga Avenue, Dover Heights was built some 15 years ago. The house sits adjacent to the cliff at Dover Heights with 180o views overlooking
the Pacific Ocean all the way to the Sydney Heads and past Bondi to Malabar and further south.
The house has been considerably modernised with 3 new upstairs balconies added to take advantage of the superb ocean vista.
The architect for the renovations, Andre Baroukh, wanted to ensure that the areas under the balconies were completely waterproof but he was concerned about
the proximity of the salt and the fact that there would be some movement between the old and new sections of the house. He was also worried about the effect of
the wind driving rain onto the edges of the balconies.
Accordingly he selected the Wolfin Waterproofing System for the new balconies because of Wolfin's resistance to salt and its proven movement capabilities as
well as its Stainless Steel edge termination system which is able to both withstand the salt and prevent the wind-driven water getting underneath the membrane
at the edges. The balconies were subsequently tiled over.
The renovations were carried out by D & B Constructions.
ShannonWaterproofing, experienced licensed Wolfin Applicators, carried out the waterproofing installation.
