Natural Stone Sealers from MDC Mosaics

MDC Mosaics have the range of Lithofin sealers and cleaners in stock. If you need a sealer for your travertine pavers, floor tiles, and stone bench tops or to use on your bathroom tiles take a look at the Lithofin range of sealers and cleaners.

While no available sealers can make your stone absolutely stain-proof. They can give you a window of time to react and remove what ever is going to leave a stain. The barrier that the sealer provides can hold out the wine or oil for a limited amount of time allowing you easy removal of the contaminant before the stain penetrates onto the stone.

The differences between sealers in the market are based on the reaction time and the range of contaminants they can resist.

If the surface of the stone is polished, very dense and smooth then a penetrating type sealer is recommended, otherwise either penetrating or surface type sealers can be used.

Lithofin MN Stain-Stop -ECO-

These products can be used on all natural and engineered stone.

The special impregnator protects surfaces against the penetration of oil, grease, dirt and water and largely prevents staining.

The products are UV resistant and do not yellow.

The products are suitable for surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms and can be used indoor and outdoors. Lithofin -ECO- is more specifically for use on floors. The temperature when applying the sealant should be between 10 and 25 degrees .Avoid direct sunlight when applying the product. The product is effective after 48 hours.

Lithofin Stain-Stop -W- should last approximately 5-7 years for outdoor areas and at least 10 - 15 years indoors with correct maintenance. Lithofin Stan-Stop >ECO< should last approximately 4 years. To maintain the durability of the sealer it is recommended that Lithofin MN Easy-Care is used for regular maintenance on floors or large areas or Lithofin MN Easy-Clean spray and Polish-Cream for bench and table tops.
