The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has delivered a tailored security solution for the newly opened MECCA tenancy at Cairns Central Shopping Centre in Far North Queensland. The project called for a high-performing folding closure door that could secure a large, irregular storefront while maintaining visibility and airflow.

ATDC supplied its FC1 Folding Closure Door, finished in natural anodised aluminium and engineered with a heavy-duty extruded aluminium overhead track. The curtain infill features 300 mm-wide stacking panels with perforated mesh, optimising see-through visibility and ventilation—an ideal balance for premium retail environments. Security is achieved via multiple intermediate up/down locking points, eliminating the need for bottom tracking and ensuring uninterrupted pedestrian movement across the entry.

Spanning an expansive 6000 mm wide by 3200 mm high, the installation also required a custom radius curve to the top track to follow the tenancy's curved facade. The system can accommodate heights up to 4500 mm. Project delivery was managed by Diverse Project Group (WA), resulting in a seamless fit-out aligned with MECCA's architectural brief. A 12-month warranty applies to materials and workmanship.
