Lightweight Foam Plano Bevel from Acoustic Answers

A better alternative to a suspended ceiling.

Acoustic Answers special lightweight foam Plano Bevel and Pyramid faced products are proving a viable alternative to, sometimes less practical or desirable, suspended ceiling systems.

Ideally up out of harm's way they are extremely light weight and enjoy compliant fire rating, both are ideal for fixing direct to a concrete soffit. They glue into place instantly and rapidly with standard construction adhesives and silicone.

This allows more creative ceiling finishes and designs such as open mesh. Or none at all in the case of exposed or partially exposed ceiling designs. In these cases, or in the case of necessarily exposed chilled beam air conditioning units, they still provide an attractive functional continuous surface finish to the slab. Their acoustic performance is equal to or better than the suspended ceilings they replace.

Plano Bevel gives a tiled effect where the Pyramid provides a seamless finish. They show excellent light reflectivity in both the white and pale grey standard colours. Colour coated products available upon request.

Access to suspended ceilings is difficult, the installation of suspended ceilings is complex by comparison and the support cables get in the way of everything during any retro work required above it. Even a simple access requirement can dirty or damage the tiles and disturbs any insulation that may be above. Physically and water damaged tiles can be difficult to replace. There are now much better options for the acoustic treatment of open plan office space.

Sitting unobtrusively against the soffit, these panels are above it all, undisturbed, quietly doing their job. And should they ever succumb to any damage they can always be replaced.

The raw material used in production can be cut to pretty much any shape, size or design within a 1250 x 2500 dimension so please, if our preformed panels aren't your preference, ask about other options and make the design truly your own.
