ATDC Launches Unique New Permashield Roller Shutter to the Australian Market

Permashield Roller Shutters - a division of The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) has launched an exciting new range of commercial and industrial aluminium roller shutters which roll up into precision engineered pelmet boxes, and are now available in the Australian market for the first time.

The Permashield new commercial security shutters fold up into a slim line, unobtrusive pelmet box, concealing the otherwise exposed and unsightly roller mechanisms at the top of the shutter.

The concept of utilizing pelmet boxes is widely available in the residential window shutter market, with domestic grade aluminium roller shutters being installed to secure windows, sliding doors, French doors and patio doors.

Ideal for external installations on street fronts or commercial premises, the pelmet box also provides greater security by effectively providing a tamper resistant device to protect the roller mechanisms from external attack.

In addition, the pelmet box also protects the roller shutter mechanism from dust, wind and rain, helping to protect the doors and ensure longevity.

The doors are also suitable for internal applications such as reception areas and serveries, bars, counter tops and hotel and office foyers where it alleviates the need for the rather expensive option of dropping a ceiling to box in the axle and springs at the top of the shutter.

The Permashield Roller Shutters can span widths in excess of six metres in one piece, and provides maximum security without the need for intermediate mullions.

Fabricated from aluminium these pelmet boxes can be powder-coated to match the finish of the shutter or to match the finish of the premises to which the security shutter is attached.

The doors are available in manual or electric options. For the electric option, the door is available with a security key switch or can be remote controlled. An optional battery back-up facility is also available to enable successful operation even in the case of power failure.

Every roller shutter carries a 12 month warranty against defective material and workmanship with an additional five year warranty applicable to the rolling slats.
