Rubber and Polyurethane Matting from Projex Group

Projex Group offers Shockmat, a rubber and polyurethane matting solution.
This product is taking the commercial and industrial world by storm, due to its versatility, durability and superior impact sound and shock attenuation properties.
What is Shockmat?
Shockmat is a mat made from recycled and reclaimed tyre rubber that is bonded together with high quality polyurethanes. It is produced in 1.25 metre wide rolls that are 5 and 10mm thick and can be easily laid by anyone, as it simply rolls out where needed.
What can Shockmat do?
Shockmat has a wide variety of applications across a range of different industries. It can be used, but not limited to:
- As flooring in gyms - It has been used extensively in gyms all over Australia, including the Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club Gymnasium. It is non-slip, comfortable underfoot and its noise reduction properties exceed the Australian Acoustic Building requirements.
- As protection for most waterproof membranes, due to the fact that it is cheaper and easier to install than tiles or concrete screeds and can simply be rolled out as needed.
- Excellent pathway/walkway matting-can be installed over uneven surfaces as it follows the contours of the substrate.
- To protect the ballast on railway bridges, where it absorbs ballast vibration against the bridge deck and thus extends the life of the ballast.
- As flooring for truck and utility trays, for its non-slip properties and to protect the tray from damage.
- On walkways and in cool rooms and food storage facilities, for its non-slip and impact resistant properties and its water permeability.

What are Shockmat's advantages?
Shockmat has a number of characteristics that make it superior to other protective matting solutions.
- It is non-toxic and chemically neutral
- It cannot be electrostatically charged
- It is resistant to corrosion, construction acids and alkaline solutions
- It can be easily laid by anyone
- It can be installed in any weather conditions
- It can be walked on or driven on immediately after being installed
