ATDC Roller Shutters Secure Multi-level Indoor Sports Facility at Melbourne's North Fitzroy.

The Bundha Sports Centre, Australia's first multi-level community indoor sports facility in North Fitzroy, Melbourne, now features roller shutters installed by ATDC. This facility, built for Development Victoria, is adjacent to the Wurun Senior Campus. Built Environs from Adelaide managed the project, with Co-Op Studio serving as the architects.

Ten electric-operated Series 2 roller shutters were installed to secure various areas of the facility. These shutters feature a combination of solid extruded aluminium slats and slotted sections with perforated mesh infills for airflow. Key switches were installed to control access and enhance security. The shutters can span up to 5500mm in a single motorized section, using a heavy-duty 229mm steel tube for the roller drum and 240V electric actuators for operation.

Special access control features were incorporated into the project, including digital card swipe facilities with protective photoelectric beams. The shutters were also integrated with the facility's emergency fire protection system. Bundha Sports Centre, named to signify 'unity' in Woi-wurrung language, will house four competition-level courts for basketball, netball, and volleyball, as well as a multi-purpose futsal court, gymnasium, cafe, and community facilities.
