Pearlazzo PUR from Polyflor Australia will change the way you think about commercial floor coverings

Distinctive Pearlazzo PUR is the latest homogeneous product to be launched by leading commercial vinyl floor coverings manufacturer, Polyflor. Pearlazzo PUR means real individuality and style can be used, without sacrificing practicality, in any commercial environment.

Designed for the modern commercial environment - including healthcare and aged Care - Pearlazzo PUR delivers the inherent low maintenance and durability benefits expected of a Polyflor homogeneous PUR product while pushing the boundaries of vinyl flooring decoration.

The striking 24 shade colour palette, a combination of vibrant and neutral shades, has been achieved by blending tonal chips and pearlescent flakes, fused into a solid base colour for a unique decorative finish.

Beneath the bold colours and modern design, hardwearing Pearlazzo PUR achieves the highest wear rating and features Polyflor's unique 'polyurethane reinforcement' (PUR) which is cross linked.

The PUR, combined with a superior closed surface finish, facilitates a low cost, lifetime polish-free maintenance regime, achieving savings of up to 48 per cent, compared with standard vinyl flooring. The PUR significantly reduces chemical and water usage by up to 55 per cent, compared to traditional maintenance procedures.

"The decoration is unique and the range of colours opens up a whole new world of design options. We wanted to develop a product that brought a new aesthetic angle to resilient vinyl flooring while still delivering first class performance," says Peter Bates, Marketing Manager for Polyflor Australia Pty Ltd.

"Pearlazzo PUR can be welded at the seams and up the coved skirtings to create a continuous, impermeable surface that offers no sanctuary to dirt and bacteria. Independent test results demonstrate that the product construction inhibits the growth of MRSA on the flooring."

Polyflor, known as the home of commercial flooring solutions, is ensuring Pearlazzo PUR is environmentally friendly; it is manufactured under ISO14001 EMS and easily meets the GBCA's 'low VOC' requirements. The product is currently being tested by Ecospecifier for Green Tag certification with the highest possible GreenRate Level 'A' rating for flooring expected in the first half of this year to comply with the materials - flooring calculator in the Green Star rating tools.
