Design Institute of Australia to Launch New Policy at DesignEX![]() DIA launches new Education Policy A special event at designEX 2014 will be the launch of the Design Institute of Australia (DIA's) new Education Policy and Design Course Recognition Program. As the professional body representing Australian Professional Designers, the DIA is regularly approached by students and parents asking for help to identify the best design courses to suit their needs. Each year, the number of design courses being offered by Universities, TAFE and Private Providers continues to grow so choosing the right course is becoming more and more challenging. The Design Course Recognition Program will identify courses that meet the DIA's criteria and in turn that of the industry. The criteria include a minimum standard of education, based on the Australian Government's Australian Quality Framework (AQF) and direct engagement with the design industry via membership of the DIA.
