A PU foam spray can be very helpful, especially when it comes to insulation, void filling, caulking, condensation control, and sound dampening. However, the cold weather may have an effect on your Versi-Foam kit. There are appropriate steps to take for PU foam spray usage in cold weather so you can still get the desired results.

Bellis Australia offers helpful tips on how to handle the Versi-Foam system. For starters, never store PU foam products in areas where the temperature is lower than 5°C. Doing so will cause the chemicals to freeze and once this happens, your Versi-Foam can't be fixed and will no longer be useable.

Before you use your Versi-Foam kit, it is advised to place it in a warm space. Do this at least 24 hours before you start using it for your project. Make sure to shake the tanks after warming them so as to have a uniform temperature throughout.

Finally, when you are using your PU spray kit, warm the surface where the foam will be applied. The temperature of the surface should be between 18°C and 32°C. Any colder or hotter and you will experience adhesion problems.
