Bifold Folding Closure Doors for Retail Shopfront Security by ATDC.

Retail shopfronts need security that protects the tenancy without blocking visibility during and after trading hours. ATDC supplied a bifold commercial folding closure door for the Strand store at Westfield Parramatta, near Sydney, providing a secure closure suited to the curved shopfront layout.

The black powder coated door was fabricated with a marine grade extruded aluminium top track and 300mm wide stacking panels. Toughened polycarbonate curtain infill was selected to maintain clear see-through visibility, while intermediate up/down locking mechanisms across the width of the opening provided secure locking without the need for a floor track.

The installation measured approximately 9000mm wide by 3200mm high, with this door type capable of heights up to 4500mm. A standard 600mm radius curve over a 90 degree angle allowed the top track to follow the shopfront profile. Project management was by Southern Cross Shopfitting Operations.
