Woven Rope Screens for Restaurant Booths by Di Emme

These days, restaurants need to prioritise ambience as they would the food. The interior design doesn't have to be just unique, but should tie together the experience for customers. A good example of this is the use of woven rope screens for restaurant booths by Di Emme.

The brief for Etti's Local Bar was to have a space specifically designed for connection, wherein each seat is like the best one. DACCA Architecture thought of using rope screens for the bar, so as to create a cosy space without compromising light or airiness. Di Emme was brought in to bring this concept to life.

Di Emme is all about creative solutions, and they created the woven screens based on sketches/drawings by DACCA. A suitable rope type was sourced and then hand-dyed to get the desired colour. These ropes were then woven into position onto custom joinery frames.
