The inspiration behind the design was the local eucalyptus, defined by red bloodwoods, Sydney peppermints, and scribbly gums. A digital artwork was sent in for approval before the on-site work started.

One of the major challenges met during the project was that the reopening was drawing closer, and there were other preparations going on. Di Emme's artisan was able to complete the mural by hand-painting onsite.
