Pasco Construction Solutions Pty Ltd Cruises to Success

Pasco Construction Solutions Pty Ltd successfully completed a major upgrade for the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney by using the Buzon Pedestal System.

The Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) is Sydney's unique venue. Located in Sydney's historic "Rocks," Circular Quay, the OPT has a dazzling, uninterrupted view of the Opera House, Sydney Harbour, and the city skyline. It is where some of the world's luxury cruise liners, including the Queen Elizabeth II, berth during their stay in Sydney.

Sydney Ports Corporation had several years of issues associated with the pavers on the Cruiser Terminal balcony. It had originally been installed on a paver support that incorporated a "chock" adjustment system. The system was limited as the pavers and supports had to be continually re-adjusted and made stable, which was a tedious and expensive maintenance process. The Buzon Pedestal System was selected to resolve this problem.

In 2010, rectification works were undertaken to replace both the waterproofing membrane and paver supports on the 700 square metre Cruiser Terminal balcony. Pasco supplied 6,000 Buzon Pedestals for the project and the installation was successfully completed in early 2011 resulting in a stable and maintenance free surface. To date Sydney Ports Corporation have had no issues with the Buzon Pedestals.

In mid 2006 the company was introduced to Buzon Pedestal International and was appointed as the exclusive distributor of Buzon Pedestal System in Australia.
