Flow Shower Finalist from GWA Bathrooms and Kitchens

The unique new Caroma Flow shower has been recognised at the highly acclaimed 2011 Australian International Design Awards (AIDA) as a finalist, cementing its position as an industry leading, environmental product.

The Caroma Flow Shower is a finalist in the Building and Housing Category, introducing a new approach to water and energy efficient shower technology by overcoming the issue of how to produce a good, ultra low flow shower experience.

Generating consistent water flow quality, the highly efficient and patented shower nozzle is engineered to deliver the same or better performance as a conventional shower (nine litres per minute), saving on both water usage and hot water energy running costs.

The nozzle and geometry design disperses the water spray so that no holes or gaps are produced within the spray pattern. The shower surpasses all benchmarks for superior uniform spray coverage, distribution, and water force with an ultra low flow rate.

Total energy savings up to 28 per cent compared to an equivalent 3-star shower can be achieved by the Caroma Flow Shower, providing a significant reduction in carbon emissions when compared with a standard 3-star rated shower.

A division of Good Design Australia, the Australian International Design Awards is Australia's only national product design awards program which recognises and rewards local product design and innovation excellence.

To be deemed worthy of a spot in the finals, each entry must demonstrate innovation, visual/emotional appeal, functionality, quality and manufacture, human factors (ergonomics, semantics and safety) and environmental sustainability.
