Caroma Charity Golf Day Raises Funds for Red Cross Disaster Relief

Caroma Charity Golf Day Raises More Than $13,000 For Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Program

Commercial plumbers who are loyal followers of Caroma products have done their bit to raise $13,025 for Caroma's philanthropic partner, Red Cross, at a recent charity golf day.

The funds were raised at the 14th Annual Caroma Accredited Research Customer (CARC) State Golf Challenge, held on Queensland's Sunshine Coast in March, 2011.

All funds will be directed to the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Program, assisting people and families impacted during the nation's summer of natural disasters, including the Queensland floods and Cyclone Yasi in northern Queensland.

CARC representative Craig Lagerroth and Caroma State Manager, Queensland, Steve McDonald were proud to present the cheque to Red Cross Queensland Executive Director Greg Goebel.

Ms Deborah Evans, Marketing Manager for Caroma said, "CARC is an event that gives the intrinsic benefit of knowing that together as a company, we can work together with our customers to help to improve the lives of people in need."

The special fundraiser event is one of many upcoming projects that have been lined up for Caroma's charity program, 'I Love my Bathroom', which was launched with the Australian Red Cross on World Toilet Day in November, 2010.

Mr Goebel thanked Caroma and the charity golf day participants for their generous support.

"Thousands of people across Australia were impacted by our unprecedented summer of natural disasters," Mr Goebel said. "These funds will be used as part of the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Program to help these people and families recover and get back on their feet."

Caroma is an Australian Red Cross National Community Partner.
