Remove Stains from Limestone with Gel Cleaner from Dry-Treat![]() Case Study
Brisbane Home - Rust Stain Removal The Project Rust stains on light coloured limestone are highly visible, and up to now, have required major restoration work to remove. Usually this involves removing the stain with an acid, and then refinishing the surface to fix the damage from the acid. Cliff Ellwood, a Stone Mason and Dry-Treat Accredited Applicator (Tile and Stone Doctor, Queensland, Australia) had the opportunity to try HANAFINN Skavenja™ on a badly stained white honed limestone surface. The rust stains were created by metal outdoor furniture left on the limestone surface for extended periods. Cliff initially attempted to clean the stains with a bleach solution without success. Before resorting to harsh acid cleaners Cliff decided to try Skavenja™ - the results speak for itself. Cliff was able to totally remove the rust stains without any damage to the limestone.
