Poolside Paving Cleaner and Sealer from Dry-Treat

RESIDENCE IN TUCSON, AZ

THE PROJECT:

The approximately 3,000 square foot rear patio and stairs of this Tucson residence had Stepstone, Inc. - Cal Arch Almond Pavers installed as part of a new build project. The owner requested the pavers were sealed with STAIN-PROOF Original™ per the manufacturer's recommendations. This was done to protect the surface from efflorescence and future staining.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sealer must have a significantly long lifespan in the high heat and high UV ray desert climate
Superior stain protection
Protects the surface from efflorescence
Treated surfaces must become easier to clean and stay looking good for longer
Must retain the natural look and finish of the surface

THE DRY-TREAT SOLUTION:

The pavers had some preexisting stains that occurred during fabrication or transit, so Dr. Clean spot treated the individual stains with OXY-KLENZA™ and the entire surface was pressure washed. Oxy-Klenza™ is a powerful oxygen and alkaline cleaner for tough, dried-in stains and soiling, including grease, grime, and stains caused by mold, algae and leaf marks. To remove stubborn marks / stains, Oxy-Klenza can be used as an open or closed poultice treatment. It is important to remove preexisting stains prior to sealing because the surface will repel water after sealing, making removing said stains more difficult.
